CAR HIRE

There are many hire companies in Cyprus hiring cars of all sizes and descriptions.  I guess if you hunted around, the cheapest prices might be found in some of the smaller local hire firms.  We have always booked our vehicles over the internet through recognised car hire firms.

Petrol is cheaper in Cyprus, currently 50c per litre.

Insurance is generally valid only in the South of Cyprus, as soon as you travel into North Cyprus the insurance is normally invalid.

I have now arranged discounted prices with a local car hire firm, who will, included in their price, deliver and collect the car from either Paphos airport or the villa.  If you wish to take advantage of these prices please let me know, and I will make the arrangements on your behalf.  You don't have to book the villa to take advantage of these prices.  If you have booked your holiday elsewhere and would still like me to book a car on your behalf please contact me.

There are  many airlines both charter and schedule that fly to Cyprus everyday of the week.  It has been our experience that booking your flights well in advance will result in the cheapest prices.  Airlines have a fixed number of seats that they offer cheaply when the flight first goes on sale.  Then as the flight becomes booked, so the prices go up.

The flight takes approx 4.5 hours. 

There are two airports in Cyprus, Larnaca and Paphos, either is relatively convenient and straightforward for access to Mandria.  Paphos airport is 10 min drive from Mandria and Larnaca is approx 1.5 hour.
